You guys loved my banana berry smoothie prep so much that I’d thought I’d share another favorite with you.
We make lots of smoothie meal preps during the summer and right now we’re really into this Apple & Greens version.
What’s in an Apple and Greens Smoothie?
- Green Apples
- Kale
- Celery
- Cucumbers
- Lemon
- Ginger
Those are the ingredients I currently put in mine, but of course this is an easy recipe to customize. You may prefer to use what greens you can find on sale. I often substitute spinach instead of kale and sometimes even rainbow chard.
We have a very small freezer and only have space to store these in bags. If you are concerned about plastic use, you have a few options:
- Wash & reuse the Ziploc bags
- Use silicone bags
- Use mason jars

When you are ready to blend your smoothie, simply pull the ingredients from the freezer and add to your blender along with 1 cup of liquid. You can use any kind of liquid you want, but we prefer coconut water with this smoothie.
These freezer smoothie packs will keep fresh in the freezer for about one month.
