Eating healthy doesn’t mean you have to give up burgers & fries! This low-carb burger & sweet potato fries meal prep allows you to have both without feeling guilty.

Two meal prep containers with a hamburger patty, sweet potato fries, tomato, and lettuce in each

There’s nothing more classic for lunch than a hamburger and french fries, but when you’re watching your macros and calories it may seem like an option that’s off the table. This recipe, however, will show you how you can still enjoy a burger without sacrificing any of your health goals!

What’s even better than that? You can prep a week’s worth of these from start to finish in about twenty minutes, so it’s one of the most simple and quick meal preps you can make!

Ingredients

  • Ground Beef – Use a lean ground beef, or ground turkey for even lower fat and calories.
  • Seasonings – You can season the burger patty with just salt and pepper, or also add a little bit of onion and garlic powder for extra flavor.
  • Sweet Potato Fries – Grab a pack of frozen sweet potato fries to make this meal prep stress-free.
  • Toppings (optional) – I like to add fresh sliced tomato, lettuce, and pickles for my burger “toppings”. If cheese is in your diet, feel free to add that too.

  • Cuisine: American

Ingredients

1 15oz Package of Frozen Sweet Potato Fries

1lb Ground Beef

1 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Pepper

1/2 tsp Onion Powder

Toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles)

Instructions

Prepare your sweet potato fries according to package instructions, then set aside.

Add the ground beef and seasonings to a mixing bowl. Use your hands to mix the meat and seasonings until just combined. Divide the meat into 4 portions. Take each portion in your hand and mold it into a hamburger patty.

Cook the burgers over medium-high heat on the grill or stove top. Cook 4-5 minutes on each side until done. Remove from pan or grill and set on a paper towel lined plate to drain grease.

Prepare four meal prep containers and evenly divide the cooked sweet potato fries between each of them. Add 1 hamburger patty to each container and your desired toppings.

Seal meal prep containers and store in the refrigerator until ready to consume.
